Coronavirus (COVID-19) Statement

The Proud Trust is now operating digitally, as we make significant changes to how we operate in this time of international concern.

All youth groups and 1-1s (face-to-face contact) are not running in their usual venues and are being delivered virtually instead.

Our LGBT+ Centre is closed, if you want to get in touch, contact us at centre@theproudtrust.org

Our face to face training is also postponed, but some courses have moved virtual. Information on upcoming virtual training, can be found here.

Youth workers will be sending out Google Hangout links for our group work and 1-1 support. Please contact us if you have any questions.

We are still here for you and all LGBT+ young people.

Please share this with young people or colleagues where relevant.

Emma Hawley

Emma joined The Proud Trust as a trustee in September 2016. She has worked as a manager within the voluntary sector and youth services since 2002; with responsibility for services that support young people across areas including: anti-trafficking, HIV, volunteering, advocacy, missing from home, LGBT youth groups, Sure Start and family support.

Emma has been involved with work around equality and diversity within her current organisation for a number of years through membership of the regional E&D forum & regional and national LGBT staff forums, and is passionate about ensuring that organisations recognise and value diversity within their staff teams and service provision.

Having completed the Manchester marathon and her 2nd degree kickboxing black belt, Emma  is currently looking for her next sporting challenge. In her spare time she knits, crochets & bakes and would love to have more time to learn new skills and get more involved with craftivism.  Emma has recently become President of the WI group which she established with friends 5 years ago. Working with WI members she aims to create opportunities for women to learn, try new experiences and participate in campaigning around issues relevant to women & communities.
