Coronavirus (COVID-19) Statement

The Proud Trust is now operating digitally, as we make significant changes to how we operate in this time of international concern.

All youth groups and 1-1s (face-to-face contact) are not running in their usual venues and are being delivered virtually instead.

Our LGBT+ Centre is closed, but in the interim period we're running a Virtual LGBT+ Centre. Details of upcoming events with how to book can be found here.

Our face to face training is also postponed, but some courses have moved virtual. Information on upcoming virtual training, can be found here.

Youth workers will be sending out Google Hangout links for our group work and 1-1 support. Please contact us if you have any questions.

We are still here for you and all LGBT+ young people.

Please share this with young people or colleagues where relevant.

TranScripTions 11-19s Trans – Non Binary Writing Competition

Transcriptions is a series of 12 pieces of poetry and prose in response to a call for submissions in 2019 from The Proud Trust.

The 12 pieces were selected from hundreds of entries which demonstrate the diversity, creative expression and vibrant emotional worlds of trans young people. The project is an unabridged celebration of young trans people as human beings in their own right, as expansive and beautiful, as the experts on their own experience. At a time when these individuals are often reduced to objects in a political argument in which they are allowed no voice, we launch this project with passion and pride for our young people and their creations.

Throughout April, May, June and July, we will be posting the selected entries below.
Follow us over the next 12 weeks as we release the full series for you to read, enjoy and share.
