Coronavirus (COVID-19) Statement

The Proud Trust is now operating digitally, as we make significant changes to how we operate in this time of international concern.

All youth groups and 1-1s (face-to-face contact) are not running in their usual venues and are being delivered virtually instead.

Our LGBT Centre is closed, and our training is being postponed or moving virtual.

Youth workers will be sending out Google Hangout links for our group work and 1-1 support. Please contact us if you have any questions.

We are still here for you and all LGBT+ young people.

Please share this with young people or colleagues where relevant.

In this series of trans awareness training days, we are very excited to be piloting a brand new performance piece which has been especially created with a group of trans and non-binary young people, to take you on a deeper journey into your understanding of working with trans and gender non-conforming young people.

Friday 23rd February – Police, Youth Offending Team and Community Safety – book here.
Monday 26th February – Primary Schools – book here.
Tuesday 27th February – Secondary Schools – book here.
Thursday 1 March – Professionals who work with young people, including Youth Workers, Social Workers, Mental Health Professionals, School Nurses, etc – book here.

The Proud Trust has developed Sexuality aGender v2, an inclusive sexual health package for ALL young people, recommended for ages 13 and up. This toolkit will enable you to engage with young people on topics of sexuality, sexual health and gender identity – available now through our shop.

Also available with a one-day training course, which is heavily subsidised by the Tampon Tax Fund, and is a great opportunity to help young people explore their identities and ask questions in a safe, supportive setting. The next training day is Jan 25th in Kendal, Cumbria and can be booked here.

Please email ali.hanbury@theproudtrust.org if you have any further questions.

The Proud Trust is seeking a dynamic and motivated Training Coordinator for our North West Regional Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans (LGBT+) Education and Training Programme.

Our Peer Supporters are ready and raring to go!  They are a friendly bunch of LGBT+ young people who deliver one-to-one support online, face-to-face, or by phone. We welcome self-referrals and requests from professionals who work with young people.
