Proud Connections: One-to-One Support
Proud Connections One-to-One support is available for LGBT+ young people aged 13 – 19 (up to 25 with additional needs) across Greater Manchester and Cheshire West and Chester.
Our experienced staff work with LGBT+ young people to build individualised programmes of support based on their situation and their needs. We work with the young person to help them feel better equipped to deal with life challenges.
This could include:
- Advocacy and liaison with other services (such as NHS, social care and schools)
- Support accessing other services
- Building confidence and resilience
The Proud Trust is a crucial service for LGBT+ Young People. The Proud Trust has provided individual support to a number of LGBT+ identifying learners over the years at Matthew Moss High School and offered an environment in which they feel seen and valued for their identity and crucially protected for their individual characteristics in line with the Equality and Human Rights Act.
