Trans Inclusion Schools Toolkit (2018)

This resource was developed between the Brighton & Hove City Council’s Standards & Achievement Team and our friends at Allsorts Youth Project, first published in 2013, and updated in 2018.

This toolkit provides information and guidance to schools and college on how to more effectively support trans, non-binary and gender questioning pupils and students, and prevent transphobia.

Inclusivity  – Supporting BAME Trans People

Written by Sabah Choudrey and our friends at Gires, this is a guide for LGBTQ and trans community groups, societies, organisations and charities to help you find answers to questions such as:

  • Why are there no or few BAME trans people in my group?
  • Why are there no or few BAME volunteers or workers in my organisation?
  • How can I support a BAME trans person who attends my group?

Valuing All God’s Children (2017)

The guidance, for Church of England schools, provides key recommendations which should be adopted by schools in challenging homophobic, biphobic and transphobic (HBT) bullying, as well as sample policies for primary and secondary Church schools.
