Parents

We are primarily an organisation that works with lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans young people. However, we do recognise that both parents of LGBT young people and LGBT parents might also need a bit of advice, information or support. Here are some organisations that can help:

For parents of LGBT young people:

Are you supporting a child/young person with gender dysphoria?

Want to meet other parents in the same position?

Like to talk about the best way to support you child/teen?

Fancy sharing a cuppa and cakes with people who understand?

armsOUT is a peer support group for the families of children and young people who identify as transgender. The group meets once a month (3rd Wednesday of the month) from 12 'til 2pm at a confidential town centre location in Chorley, Lancashire. For more details about how to access the group, please contact us on:

Manchester Parents Group is a voluntary organisation which supports families and friends of lesbians, gays and bisexuals. We are all parents of lesbian, gay and bisexual sons and daughters and understand the confusion and questions you may have when you first found out your child is gay. We have accepted our children's sexuality and want to help other parents and family members to do the same.

fflag.org.uk

FFLAG is a national voluntary organisation and registered charity. We are dedicated to supporting parents and their lesbian, gay and bisexual daughters and sons.

We’re a generally friendly bunch, if we say so ourselves – a group for lesbian parents and their children and for those lesbians hoping to become parents.
