Alien Nation (KS2)

Imagine a planet where people be who they want to be.

Welcome to Alien Nation.

Ours is a story of friendship, solidarity and building bridges.
It is a story about exploring who you are and where you belong.
It is a story about celebrating our differences.

As you journey through space with us, we hope  that you will learn some new words,
some new ways of understanding the world around you, and perhaps some new ways of understanding yourself.

Alien Nation is a book, aimed at primary aged children. It is a fun exploration of gender, gender expression, gender roles, and an explanation of different gender identities, introducing important terminology:

Having a physical copy of the book gives you access to wrap around lesson plans and resources.

A variety of “Alien Nation” workshops have been developed and can be brought to your primary school. In one-hour long workshops, we can read the book and hold a Q&A session, maybe with the author! We have also developed half day and full day education workshop packages around the themes in the book to further embed the learning.  Contact us to discuss you requirements.

Developed in conjunction with many trans and non-binary young people, the development of this project was made possible thanks to funding from Cheshire West and Chester Council.
