LGBT+ Ambassadors
Using the knowledge, skills and creativity of young people to deliver sessions and awareness around LGBT+ people and identities can be very powerful indeed! Through this course, participants will develop an understanding of LGBT+ issues, in the context of broader Equality and Diversity. We will also develop the skills of participants to deal effectively with challenging situations which may present.
- Introduction to LGBT+ Ambassador Skills - a three hour course where the group will learn some key skills for effective campaigning and begun to think about the needs of their school, youth club, or community.
- LGBT+ Ambassador Skills - a six hour training course where the group will learn effective communication and campaigning skills, and have started to implement an LGBT+ awareness campaign in their school, youth club or community.
LGBT+ Ambassadors training courses can take place in your school or youth club, structured in a way to suit you. We can deliver a full day, a half day introduction, or we could deliver either course over a series of weeks, an hour at a time.
LGBT+ Ambassadors training can help in the Pupil Voice section of the Rainbow Flag Award.
