The Proud Trust is the home of LGBT+ youth. We offer a wide range of support for LGBT+ young people and young people questioning their gender or sexuality, including:

Youth Groups

The Proud Trust runs around twenty LGBT+ youth groups across Greater Manchester and Cheshire. All of our groups offer fun, supportive spaces for young people to make friends, connect with their community and explore a wide range of activities. Some of our youth groups are for young people with specific identities, such as our young women’s group and our youth groups for trans and non-binary young people. You can find more information about all of our groups here.

One-to-One Support

  1. Trans Care Navigation. The Trans Care Navigator offers one-to-one support for trans and non-binary young people in relation to their safety, access to health care, housing and family, as well as experiences of school/college and friendships. They will also support them to access our identity-based groups for peer support and to connect with their community.
  2. Adult Mentoring. Our cohort of volunteer LGBT+ Adult Mentors are drawn from a range of occupations and receive comprehensive inhouse training and supervision. They can provide regular weekly bespoke one-to-one sessions for young people around goal setting, signposting, self-care and mutual care.

If you think the young person could benefit from any of the above, please complete the referral form.
