Wythenshawe Pride this Saturday!
Organized by young LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Trans) people who live in & around Wythenshawe, this event aims to show other LGBT young people that they can be out and proud in their local community.
The event is being held at The Forum in Wythenshawe, opened by Carl Austin-Behan (The Mayor), Claire Mooney (Singer) and Annie Wallace (Actress) at 10am and running all day until 3pm.
There will be stalls, facepainting, performances, badge making, cake decorating, a fire engine and lots more!
The event is aimed at the LGBT community but everyone is welcome in particular other young people.
This project is supported by The Forum, Wythenshawe Community Housing Trust, UHSM Hospital and a grant from Superbia. Superbia Grants provide financial support for LGBT events as part of Manchester Pride’s commitment to the quality and diversity of cultural events taking place throughout the year in Greater Manchester.
